Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where is Cook’s electronics recycling day?
The location is Cook’s shuttle lot at 500 N. Profile Parkway on Bloomington’s west side.
Does the e-recycling event happen every year?
Cook Medical has sponsored the event most years since 2018. The company skipped 2024 because of low participation the previous year, and 2020 because of the pandemic.
How much does it cost?
There is no cost to recycle electronic waste at this free event.
How do items get unloaded?
Cook and Big Boy Moving Service employees will be on hand to unload items from vehicles. Expect to wait in a long line.
What can be taken to the e-recycle day event?
Acceptable items include:
- Most personal and office computers and related equipment such as fax machines, keyboards and mice.
- DVD players, CD players and other entertainment electronics.
- Printer toner cartridges.
- Telephone systems and cellphones.
- Word processors and electric typewriters.
- Kitchen appliances, from can openers to freezers.
What if I’m unsure about an item?
Bring it out to the site.
“Items not listed shall be reviewed for approval on a case-by-case basis,” the list of acceptable electronics says at the bottom.
